The Power of Your Membership

As a Riveredge member, you bring the great outdoors to families, schools and neighborhoods.  Together, the over 1,650 Riveredge member households:

  • Bring over 35,000 people into the great outdoors each year. We partner with schools and families to get kids outside by integrating outdoor spaces into school curriculum and restoring local natural places.
  • Preserve 379 acres for playing, learning, and exploring.  Known as the most beautifully restored natural sanctuary in southeastern Wisconsin, this land includes prairies, woods, ponds, and over one mile along the Milwaukee River.
  • Support research on native ecosystems, from restoring habitat for the endangered Swamp Metalmark butterfly to reintroducing Lake Sturgeon to the Milwaukee River.
  • Bring out the kid in us all through ten miles of trails for running, hiking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing PLUS treasures throughout the preserve like the Hidden Tepee, Riveredge Ruins, Children’s Natural Playground, Andy’s Climbing Rocks, and the Hammock Village.
