DESCRIPTION:December 20 @ 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm\n              \n                  Winter Solstice Celebration \n                  Adventure and Exploration Day at Riveredge \n              \n              Celebrate the Winter Solstice at Riveredge! Awaken your curiosity\, engage your body\, and explore the beautifully restored Riveredge landscape through self-guided and educator-led activities. Winter Solstice Celebration: Adventure and Exploration Day at Riveredge is designed for folks of all ages to get active outdoors and discover a variety of ways to enjoy nature. Adventure awaits! \n– 1 hour Guided Hikes 12pm\, 1:30pm\, 3pm\n– Guided Sunset Hike at 4pm\n– Crafting in the Coop 12-8pm | Bring a recycled\, clean glass jar to make a luminary! Extra will be available. We will also be making bird feeders and coloring mindfulness mandalas.\n– Bonfire 4:30-8pm | S’mores and healthy snacks will be provided\n– Stargazing and Astronomy 6-8pm (conditions permitting) | Please do not use a flashlight or headlamp. Instead\, we will let our eyes adjust to the darkness. \nThe Trails Aglow Luminaries will be lit for attendees to hike the self-guided Trails Aglow route (1.5 mi) beginning at 4:30pm. Family Nature Club will gather at 5pm for group hike along the luminary route! \nAll ages welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult.\nFree for all participants.
