DESCRIPTION:October 6 @ 6:30 am – 4:00 pm\n              \n                  Ozaukee Washington Bird Coalition \n                  Big Sit \n              \n              The Noel J. Cutright Bird Club\, in cooperation with the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory and OWBC\, will host its annual “Big Sit!” at Forest Beach Migratory Preserve\, five miles north of Port Washington. The count begins on the Bill Cowart Memorial Hawk Watch Platform on the northeast corner of the preserve. The Sit’s 17-foot circle is on the perfectly-sized hawk watch platform at Forest Beach Migratory Preserve. Since 2007\, birders have recorded a total of 262 species at Forest Beach. DESCRIPTION:October 23 @ 8:00 am – 4:00 pm\n              \n                  SAWW Chainsaw Training Level 3 \n              \n              Join SAWW trainer Luke Saunders\, Forester\, Adaptive Restoration LLC\, for a hands-on training in chainsaw use\, maintenance\, and technique. Spend time both outside and in the classroom\, practicing how to operate chainsaws safely\, comfortably\, and productively. \nThis class is part three of a four level series through the Safety and Woods Working training program (SAWW). Topics covered include review of information from Levels 1 & 2\, focus on planning and executing difficult tree felling\, precision at the stump\, and planning and executing limbing and bucking.Hands-on training gives participants the opportunity to fell and limb or buck at least one tree. Helmets are mandatory.
