What are they\, how do they form\, and how do we know about them? Jim Hahn will give us the info on these strange and fascinating objects. After an indoor presentation\, we will view the sky outdoors through telescopes or indoors on the screen\, depending on the weather. \nJim Hahn is a lifelong amateur astronomer who learned the constellations at eight years old and built a telescope at fifteen. When the sky is not dark and clear\, he writes software\, rides his bike\, and sings in two choirs. Jim is an active member of the Northern Cross Science Foundation\, a local astronomy club dedicated to public outreach\, and stays current in astronomy by reading books\, magazines\, and websites on the topic. \nAll ages welcome.
