Scout Programs Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts

Scout Programs are Back!

We are gratefully reopening Cub Scout & Girl Scout programming at Riveredge!

A row of happy kids line up on a trail boardwalk on a sunny day in fall

We are piloting a new method of booking Girl Scout and Cub Scout programs. We hope that this initiative will simplify and expedite the booking process, therefore increasing our ability to share environmental education with your troops, packs, and dens.

Below are the program themes available this fall & winter. They have badge associations, but may or may not fulfill all requirements. The “menu” of activities can be adapted for various age groups, and there is a space on the registration form to let us know if there are certain objectives you are hoping to achieve for your group.

To book, please select a date that works for you. The set times are 10am-12pm for Saturdays and 4-6pm after school on weekdays.

Groups of 10 or less: $75 | Groups of 11-15: $110 | Groups of 16-20: $140
If you have a group larger than 20 scouts, please contact Alina Prahl at aprahl@riveredge.us before registering.

Taught in the “Riveredge style,” each program…

Engages in cooperative, inquiry-based learning
is guided by professionally trained educators
is taught primarily outdoors
Develops a strong sense of place
meets or contributes to merit badge requirements

“Educators were really responsive and communicated so well on the days leading up to the event regarding the weather, etc.  Both of them were so professional and fun!  They were great role models for my group of 10 year old girls.”
