Gather in the Riveredge yard, light your candle lanterns, and enjoy a traditional Yule Log hunt. We’ll end with warm drinks, carols, a campfire, and Father Winter.
We will read Bugs and Bugsicles and conduct experiments and associate insect life cycles to the seasons to understand how these small creatures survive the Wisconsin winters.
Let’s use our senses to explore the wintry landscape of Riveredge! We’ll search for animal clues, take a peek in the pond, and make some fun land art.
Riveredge is hosting an Open House for the community to learn more about Riveredge and meet John Rakowski.
A Riveredge Educator will read children's books and folk tales as you sip warm tea and cocoa. We will take a short hike to gather inspiration from the natural world, and return to the fireside to record your story, by picture or by written word.
Do you wonder about what birds are still around in winter? How do they survive? How can you identify them? Come join us to learn more about birds that are here in the winters of WI.
Join us as we learn about these nocturnal animals that fly through the wintry nights in Wisconsin. Practice owl calls and examine their feathers up close!
