In partnership with the Ozaukee County Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC), Riveredge is offering a Memory Café. It meets on the first Thursday of every month. The café is intended for people with all stages of memory loss and their caregivers. Fun nature related activities are planned for the group each month. The Café offers the opportunity for people to be socially, physically and creatively active in a natural setting whenever possible. The group provides additional sources of support and assistance to those coping with the issue of memory loss and cognitive changes.
Come play and sculpt with snow to create magical art! We will use natural materials and extra colors to add to the art fun! No snow- don’t worry our creative juices will still explore winter art!
Joe Mantoan, owner & operator of "Terre Sauve" Farm, will be on hand to talk about raising cattle and hogs without the use of antibiotics and added hormones. His farm is certified organic and dedicated to pasture-based, regenerative farming practices.
The on-site project coordinator, Mary Holleback, will discuss the biology and ecology of this large fish as well as the lessons learned along the way and how the public can support this unique and exciting restoration project.
The Photo Club meetings are friendly and informal, with a brief discussion of upcoming activities, a short program and conclude with the opportunity to share and discuss photos. You’re welcome as a photographer, regardless of your skill level.
Come join local Trout Unlimited volunteer, Myk Hranicka, as he shares what the Local Troup Unlimited Chapter has been doing recently and in the past 20+ years to restore local trout streams. He will also discuss how dam removal can supercharge efforts to clean our waterways and cool our rivers down.
Tune In! Just as it sounds...pun intended. Join DNR wildlife educator, Liz Herzmann, to practice identifying birds by their song.
Help us prepare for the sugarin’ season by tapping the maple trees in Riveredge’s sugarbush. We need people to drill the holes, tap in the spiles and hang the buckets. When it’s maple sugarin’ time, spring can’t be far behind!
