Ozaukee County Family Nature Club: Explore the Winter Harrington Beach

This month we’ll head out to one of the outdoor gems of Ozaukee County: Harrington Beach State Park. We’ll be exploring our inland “ocean” of Lake Michigan in wintertime. If weather conditions are favorable, we’ll head out to do some winter beach explorations. If weather is challenging beachside, we have the Quarry Lake area to explore. Regardless, exploring this area at dusk should be fun! Bring your headlamps and winter gear…and waterproof boots! (We will be by a lake, after all!) Meet at the Ansay Welcome Center parking lot near North Beach.
A vehicle admission sticker is required for Harrington Beach access. You can purchase an annual vehicle pass there for $28 (cash/check), or get a day pass for $8. The club can cover day passes for up to 4 families, though we encourage getting your annual vehicle pass so you can access all the fantastic state parks in Wisconsin for the rest of 2020!
NEW TO THE FAMILY NATURE CLUB? Welcome! This Family Nature Club takes the organizing out of fun outdoor family activities during the week. Our gatherings are free outdoor adventures that take place monthly from September to June and are coordinated by Riveredge Nature Center club leaders. You can come to as few or as many events as you want throughout the year.
Aside from the Wisconsin State Park fee, participation is free.
