Tea & Topics: Lizard Mounds & the Ancient Effigy Mounds of WI with Bob Birmingham
Join historian, Bob Birmingham in person or on Zoom, to learn more about Lizard Mound State Park. The 22-acre site was designated Wisconsin’s newest state park in April, 2022. It contains 28 Native American effigy mounds which were built by Late Woodland tribes from 800 – 1,500 years ago. The earthen sculptures were built to resemble spirits or animals and were generally used for burying the dead. Bring your questions and your lunch if you’d like for this live & on Zoom program about a park worth visiting.
