Planting the Seeds
Planned Giving
Those who love Riveredge often leave a legacy gift in their wills or trusts to help promote conservation and environmental education for future generations.
We know this work is important to you.
Your legacy gift to Riveredge will not only support the good work of today, it will ensure its continuation and growth well into the future. Just like the small winged “helicopter” seeds which grow into the sturdy maple tree, your legacy gift will provide support for programs that plant the seed of environmental stewardship in countless people and throughout multiple generations.
Planned gifts can be in the form of a bequest, life insurance, retirement plan, charitable remainder trust or appreciated assets.
You can rest assured that through such a gift, you will plant a seed that will grow and support over 45,000 learners, protect and care for the 485-acre natural sanctuary at Riveredge, and support ongoing environmental research and partnerships each year.

Riveredge Nature Center’s Maple Leaf Legacy Society
The Maple Leaf Legacy Society honors individual donors who have recognized Riveredge in their estate plans or have made other planned giving arrangements to benefit Riveredge. A planned gift to Riveredge can be one of the most fulfilling ways to support and preserve a common vision of environmental stewardship long into the future.
