QPR TRAINING for suicide prevention: “Question, Persuade, Refer”
Ask a Question, save a life
QPR provides trainees with an effective, evidence-based emergency response to mental health crises, much like CPR for physical emergencies.
Riveredge offers free QPR Training to help people learn these specific, immediately applicable life-saving skills while experiencing the benefits of spending time outside. Becoming QPR trained is a positive way to take action in light of the mental health crisis that exists in our communities. The full training is 1.5 hours. The first hour is the evidence-based QPR training. The last 30 minutes include a nature walk to practice coping skills and benefit from the healing impact of time outdoors.
Any group is welcome to contact us to schedule a training at Riveredge. We also provide free on-site training to organizations, non-profits, churches, or companies that are located in or serve Washington County. We can work together to fit your schedule! Please contact Sharon Cross at 262-375-2715 or [email protected] to schedule a training for your organization.
