Riveredge Tree Climbing

Riveredge Tree Climbing can accommodate youth and adults, age 7 and above, with little to no tree climbing skills. Ascend ropes and explore the world way above your feet. We make it safe and easy! All the equipment is supplied; all you need is loose clothing (a t-shirt and long pants recommended), closed toe shoes (hard soles recommended), and some extra energy.

Private Tree Climbing programs at Riveredge are currently only open to groups we partner with such as corporate partners, some schools, and some community groups. If you are a Riveredge partner and would like to inquire about a private tree climb, please contact Steff Merten at smerten@riveredge.us or 262-375-2715

Adaptive Climbing

Riveredge can adapt climbing programs to assist participants. Climbers who have limb differences, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, knee or hip replacements, and many other strength-related issues have been able to climb the trees at Riveredge!

Participants need to be able to follow directions, sit up on their own, and have at least some upper body strength. Using ropes and pulleys we are able to reduce their body weight to assist them during their climb. If you or your child requires an adaptive climbing experience during one of our tree climbing events, please reach out in advance so that we can work together to accommodate. Contact Jana Schwai at jschwai@riveredge.us or call the office at 262-375-2715.

“Our scouts LOVED the tree climbing at Riveredge! We have bragged about your Tree Climbing event with so many other scouts. Feels so natural to be climbing into the tree limbs thAn any rock wall that can be done indoors these days.”

Girl Scout Troop Leader

“I was blown away by the staff’s immediate willingness to adapt Lilly’s climb to make her experience both safe and challenging, their attention to her safety and comfort, and their caring attention to Lilly. I was instantly put at ease and was able to enjoy watching my 3 children climb!”
Kristen B.

Adaptive Climber Parent

“Just a quick note to tell you that my wife and two granddaughters enjoyed the tree climb. The staff members were excellent. We all learned much about the technicalities of tree climbing and enjoyed our time swinging in the tree canopy.”
