Family Nature Club:
Birding at the Bog!
We will explore the bog in search of birds that call WI winters home! We will practice using binoculars and searching for signs to spot birds. While the sun sets, we will use our “Deer Ears” to listen for our feathered friends, and learn how they adapt to the cold season.
If this spikes your interest in being a citizen scientist, we will have information for you! You could participate for 1-2 hours this year for the Christmas Bird Count on Saturday, December 17th too!
Meet at the Cedarbug Bog Trail Entrance on Hwy 33 in Saukville.
Family Nature Club is a free offering to our community designed for kids ages 6-12 and their families. We facilitate outdoor, environmental-education based experiences for families to enjoy together.

Stroll with a Naturalist: Focus on Birds
Join a naturalist for a casual walk on the trails of Riveredge. Each stroll will focus on a special aspect of nature but other things of interest will be explored as well. These educational programs will give you a better understanding of the flora and fauna of the nature center. You may even learn some of the history of the land too.

Start your Fridays with an early morning walk at Riveredge. Join veteran birder, Paul Boyer, to see (and hear) a wide variety of migrating spring birds. Walks take place rain or shine. Meet in front of the Visitor’s Center. Masks are required indoors.

The Extreme Bird-Watcher in Our Own Backyard
Riveredge educator Dan Wundrock has climbed mountains and trekked to the ends of the earth to study and photograph the most beautiful winged creatures on the planet.
