Nature Tots:
Fabulous Feathered Friends
Learn all about the birds that call Riveredge home! We’ll listen to their calls, find out what they eat, and how they build their nests. We’ll even make a bag full of nesting materials to help birds in our own backyards.
Nature Tots is an early childhood program designed for learners ages 2-5 years old, accompanied by an adult guardian (little siblings ages 0-1 are welcome to tag along). A Riveredge Naturalist will focus on outdoor exploration, literacy, physical development, nature intelligence, and social development. Programs will be cancelled and refunded in the case of inclement weather.

Seed Starting using Recycled Materials
Spring is here! Let’s get a head start on our gardens by planting seeds to germinate and sprout indoors. We gather at Riveredge and get creative and use recycled materials as pots and trays, so feel free to bring black and white newspaper, toilet paper rolls, plastic fruit containers, egg cartons, and/or milk jugs. Soil, seeds, and extra recycled materials will be provided.
