Growing Green: Biodynamics with Mary Ann Ihm- Canceled
Wellspring’s founder, Mary Ann Ihm, will speak on Biodynamic Farming, a “holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food, and nutrition.” Originating in Europe as a means of healing war-torn land and as farmers became concerned with the impacts of industrial agriculture, biodynamics was popularized by Rudolph Steiner. The principles of biodynamic farming emphasize local, non-synthetic, and traditional techniques and tools. Biodynamics deeply integrates energy, cosmology, agronomy, and spirituality. This class will help build a connection to the land and food we grow and consume.
