Channel your inner Monet; learn the 12 Principles of Painting, then set out with artist and art educator, Deb Prahl, for a short hike to select the landscape that will inspire your painting. Paint, canvases, and brushes will be provided.

En Plein Air: Nature Painting for Families
Learn to paint the natural landscape as a family! Using washable tempera paint, you will learn basic principles of painting before we set off on a short hike to select our scene. Paint, canvases, and brushes will be provided.

Family Nature Club:
Beach Art
Let’s create ephemeral art from natural items that we collect on the trail and the beach at Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve in Grafton. We’ll let the beauty of the water and the sights and sounds of nature inspire us.
Family Nature Club is a free offering to our community designed for kids and their families. We facilitate outdoor, environmental-education based experiences for families to enjoy together.
Pre-registration is required and open until an hour before the event.
This event is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated!
