Family Nature Club
Welcome Back!
Hip Hip Hooray- Family Nature Club is back in session! Join other families to start the school year off with a Family Nature Club celebration. We will catch up with each other, catch crayfish, play games, enjoy a potluck dinner together and end the day with s’mores (our treat!) 🍉
Family Nature Club is a free offering to our community designed for kids, teens, and their families. We facilitate outdoor, environmental-education based experiences for families to enjoy together.
Park at at the Riveredge West Parking Lot (address below).
All ages are welcome! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Pre-registration is required by September 8 at 11:55 pm.
This program is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated!

Trails Aglow:
Game Night
Enjoy your Friday night by luminary light! Take in the beauty and serenity of a crisp winter evening on a self-guided 1.5 mile illuminated trail – a great adventure for both grownups and children. Traverse our trails on skis, snowshoes (6+ inches of snow), or your own two feet. A warm fire and hot cocoa will be awaiting you when you return.
Theme: Game Night
Snowshoe rental is available ($10/hour for non-members and FREE for Members). Event may be altered/canceled due to weather conditions.

Nature Tots:
Owls
Join us as we learn about these nocturnal animals that fly through the wintry nights in Wisconsin. Practice owl calls and examine their feathers up close! We’ll play a predator prey game, make snow owls, and search for owl signs in the forest.
Nature Tots is an early childhood program designed for learners ages 2-5 years old, accompanied by an adult guardian (little siblings ages 0-1 are welcome to tag along). A Riveredge Naturalist will focus on outdoor exploration, literacy, physical development, nature intelligence, and social development. Programs will be cancelled and refunded in the case of inclement weather.
