Winter Yoga & Mindfulness Retreat
Stretches, Warmth, and Intention Setting for the New Year. Join us for a morning of heat-building yoga in front of a crackling woodstove, followed by setting personal visions for the new year over herbal tea. This recognition of time passing is an influential moment to tap into the beauty of the world around us. Reconnecting with our own bodies and breath allow us to become one with nature and each other. Join Samantha Olsen, of SOYO Studios, and Riveredge Environmental Educator, as we infuse movement and mindfulness with hands-on nature exploration.
A nourishing lunch, salad & veggie chili, will be provided.
Bring your own mat and journal, or use extras provided by SOYO Studios.

Lunar Yoga
The January Full Moon- the Wolf Moon- invites an opportunity for reflection on your pack, your community. Ponder this while yoga instructor, Mary Addy, leads a lightly warming yoga practice. Soak in the moon-lit trails after our yoga practice on Riveredge’s luminary Friday trails- Trails Aglow. We invite you to hike with the group after class. If there is adequate snow, bring or borrow snowshoes!
Mary is a young and passionate yoga practitioner. Using yoga as a form of inner-soul searching, restoration, meditation, and exercise, Mary guides individuals through their own yoga journey. Mary’s gentle instruction allows for beginner and advanced yoga students to expand in yoga psychology, movement and flexibility, and improve general well being. She is a vibrant, adventurous spirit who enjoys global travel and incorporates her experiences in the wild throughout her classes.
Mary loves to be outdoors and pushing herself to the limits. Her yoga is an experience that is truly unique. She strives to bring each student closer to the Divine, with every class. Aside from her yoga adventures, she enjoys cooking healthy food and taking care of her cat, Toby. Her hobbies include paddle-boarding, rock climbing, hiking, and snow sports. She loves connecting with others and sharing stories of her adventures.

Honoring the Darkness and Season of Rest
Flow through the darkest day of the year, taking cues from nature, to honor the season of rest. Yoga instructor, Mary Addy, will guide a slow, gentle, and introspective movement practice. Tea will be provided. Please bring your own yoga mat, there will be limited extras available for borrow.
