Community Rivers Program
Family Fishing Fun in Saukville
Spend the afternoon on the banks of the Milwaukee River at Ehlers Park! With a pole in your hand and hopefully a few bites on your line! Learn how to tie a hook on your line, bait your hook, and safely cast your line into the water. With the assistance of our CRP team, we will try to catch and identify each fish before releasing them back into their home the Milwaukee River. Baits and poles will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
Free and for Saukville Residents Only

Paddling from WI to the Gulf of Mexico: Mississippi Adventure
with Luke Yourzak
You may recognize Environmental Educator, Luke Yourzak, from teaching around Riveredge, but did you know Luke paddled from Wisconsin to the Gulf of Mexico on the Mississippi River in a canoe he made with friends?
Luke will regale us with tales of the floods and weather, aching muscles, fascinating characters, River Angels, and encounters with other river-going vessels he encountered on the 2,300 mile trip. We will provide light refreshments, and weather permitting, this talk will be held outdoors. Young and old, families and friends, all are invited to experience the story of Luke’s epic and inspiring adventure.
All ages welcome
