Nature Tots is an early childhood program designed for learners ages 2-5 years old, accompanied by an adult guardian. A Riveredge Naturalist will focus on outdoor exploration, literacy, physical development, nature intelligence, and social development.
Learn how to identify, manage and monitor trees and shrubs during the dormant season with Riveredge restoration ecologists. The first half of the morning will be spent indoors reviewing a large collection of freshly cut live specimens by fruit, bud, twig, branch, bark, and trunk. Following lunch we will take the course outside to review management and identify populations by setting and habitat.

Enjoy your Friday night by luminary light on a self-guided 1.5 mile illuminated trail. Traverse our trails on skis, snowshoes (6+ inches of snow), or your own two feet. A warm fire and hot cocoa will await you. Snowshoe rental is available!
