Quasars, pulsars, supernovas, black holes, white dwarfs and a host of other species can all be found in the cosmic zoo. Jim Hahn will give us the info on these strange and fascinating objects. After an indoor presentation, we will view the sky outdoors through telescopes or indoors on the screen, depending on the weather.
Nature Tots is an early childhood program designed for learners ages 2-5 years old, accompanied by an adult guardian. A Riveredge Naturalist will focus on outdoor exploration, literacy, physical development, nature intelligence, and social development.

Coyotes are a valuable keystone species. Wildlife conservationist, Gabby Dahl, will discuss their ecological benefits, hunting methods and ways to mitigate human-coyote conflict through non-lethal methods.
Free Trails Day is an open community day where we waive the Riveredge trail fees entirely. Come hike for free with 10 miles of trails to choose from!
We invite undergraduate and graduate students to submit an abstract of your current research project to be presented in oral or poster form at the student research symposium. There will be cash prizes up to $300 awarded for the best oral and poster presentations!
