This isn’t your typical geocaching—we’ve hidden special containers all around the property, and you’ll use a GPS unit to track them down. Work together, follow the clues, and see what surprises you uncover along the way. Perfect for families, curious explorers, and anyone who loves a good outdoor challenge!
For kids ages 6+ with at least 1 adult per group of 2-5 people
This program is free for everyone!
Pre-registration is not required, but highly recommended as there are only 9 handheld GPS units available at a time. Register to secure use of one for your group!
Free Trails Day is an open community day where we waive the Riveredge trail fees entirely. Come hike for free with 10 miles of trails to choose from! Feel free to stop in at the Visitor Center to learn about Riveredge and the different sights you can see, or head out on your own! Just don’t forget to grab a trail map from the trailhead kiosk or download a digital Riveredge map here. Trails are open dawn to dusk every day.
