Family Nature Club
Celebrate Friendship- Bring a Friend Day!
Let’s share our love of nature with others by exploring Nichols Creek State Wildlife Area! Invite another family or bring a friend to this FNC session to uncover this “Wetland Gem.” We will hike through coniferous swamps, sedge meadows, see the waters of Nichols Creek and the North Branch of the Milwaukee River. Dress for the weather to explore the wild spaces here. If there is enough snow, when you get the reminder email the day before it will ask if you need snow shoes and what size. You will need to reply to that email to secure snowshoes for the evening.
Family Nature Club is a free offering to our community designed for kids, teens, and their families. We facilitate outdoor, environmental-education based experiences for families to enjoy together.
Meet at Nichols Creek State Wildlife Area in Plymouth (address below).
All ages are welcome!

-Annually stock 1,000 fingerlings using a streamside rearing facility
-Develop sturgeon population assessments in Milwaukee River
-Adjust methods as knowledge develops to improve survival and return to the river
-Improve habitat where needed and possible
Come hear about the status of the program and bring your questions!
