Some of the most frequently seen butterflies in Wisconsin include the Clouded Sulphur and Cabbage butterfly. Take a casual walk with a naturalist to search for these and many more colorful species that can be found at Riveredge.
Bill Mueller, emeritus director of the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory, observes: “In less than a single human lifetime, 2.9 billion breeding adult birds have been lost from the U.S. and Canada, across every ecosystem, and including some of the most abundant and familiar species."
The visitor center will be closed, but trails will remain open dawn to dusk.
