Milwaukee River Kayak Tour – Mequon/Thiensville
Join us for a relaxing 2 mile kayak trip starting in Thiensville to explore the hidden beauty of the Upper Milwaukee River! Kayak by Blue Heron’s searching for their next meal and look through the clear, tannic water to find fish swimming below. No experience? No problem! We’ll have you paddling like a pro in no time! We’ll provide kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. Don’t forget your sunscreen, hat, water, and enthusiasm. We will use single person kayaks.
Park and meet at Villa Grove Park in Mequon (address below).
Ages 10+ | Children must be accompanied by an adult

Trails & Treats
Join us for an evening of tricks and treats for kids on the trails of Riveredge! Choose your own adventure along a 1.5 mile loop, as activity stations and fun will be scattered about the land. Visit educators in costume and dive into hands on experiences examining animal bones, learning leaves, and playing a batty game! Enjoy a crackling campfire with family and friends and share autumn and Halloween inspired stories. Cider and popcorn available for purchase. Costumes and flashlights are encouraged!
3 Sessions Available:
– Session 1: 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
– Session 2: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (Walk-ins only accepted until 7pm)
– Session 3: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
For ages 2-12 | Children must be accompanied by an adult
Member kids: $5 | Non-member kids: $10 (Supervising adults attend free!)

Cooped Up Naturalist:
Drop-In Naturalist Session
SOS! A Riveredge Naturalist has been cooped up in the Coop near Farm Pond and is looking for some curious folks to listen to all they’ve learned about the landscape around them. Explore seasonal nature objects (pelts, bones, stones, dried plants, seeds, or branches), check out an ID book for your hike, and bring your questions.
All ages are welcome! Children must be accompanied by and adult 18+.
This program is free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated!
